About The Charity
"Each year about 180,000 adults are found to have a brain tumour"
Brain tumours affect the lives of ordinary Australians and their families every day. They can affect anyone. For children, they are the most common and life threatening form of tumour. Behind leukaemia they are the single most common form of all childhood cancers.
Unlike so many other forms of cancer, the incidence of brain tumours is increasing. Advances in neurosurgery give people (children and adults) a better chance at survival, however more work still needs to be done.
The Cure for Life Foundation is an Australian organisation that works tirelessly to find a cure for brain tumours. Established in 2003 by world renowned neurosurgeon Dr Charles Teo, the Cure for Life Foundation helps to fund advancements in the treatment of brain cancer to hopefully one day find a cure.
